Episode 32: February 4, 2003 - Quebec 480 Porcupine Plain 610

Not that much to say tonight...Nick was right about Quebec having trouble hearing the LR questions - probably cost them the game...

Surprisingly enough, I wasn't as impressed by Porcupine Plain as I thought I would be...though I have to say, the calibre of play in Tournament 3 so far is equal to, if not better, that of Tournament 1 at the same point...

Quebec might have had more luck running an Athenian strategy, because Mira seemed quite smart (as evidenced by her 150 in DHD)...with Charles ringing and getting answers from Mira. It would have been interesting to see how that would have worked.

I think it's very interesting that Quebec was on the top and Porcupine Plain was on the bottom this game -- in the previous two Quebec-Saskatchewan tilts (Yorkton-Royal West and Avonlea-Humboldt), the Quebec team was on the bottom (I wonder what Nick would think of this...does he still lurk here?) 1
