Episode 24: January 21, 2003 - Swan Valley 380 Avonlea 320

So...I should have petitioned the CBC...hmmm...what a novel idea. To paraphrase Jen Graham, the schools that get in are the schools that seem to bend the rules the most.

On to the game...

The thing that sticks out in my mind was the difficulty (or lack thereof) of the Dawg Eat Dawg question. I think a question that would have been much more suitable would be: "What is the curling term for when you remove two of your opponent's stones with one shot?" The fact that the question could be figured out logically threw a wrench into Avonlea's wagering strategy and ultimately cost them a tiebreaker question (at the very least)

Other than that, it was your run-of-the-mill low scoring game. Swan Valley, though, through two games, have all 3 of their players within 40 points of each other: Bobby has 360, Erika 340, and Stephanie 320. 1
