Episode 15: January 29, 2004 - Bishop's 1030 Kennebecasis Valley 680

Wow.

Even two and a half months after taping, I'm still in shock about this one...how Danny was able to hold Kennebecasis Valley to 5 buzzes in 2:53 is absolutely mind-boggling...

That being said...there were a few incidents that I want to point out:

Was there bad take-out that the judges got today? At least 5 times, they went to the judges...I found the 50-point round incredibly sluggish because of that.
Why didn't Bishop's send Danny to Smarterer? I had been looking forward to seeing Danny vs. Patrick since SEPTEMBER, and they go and send Chris. The fact that Chris failed to hit the buzzer was karma from the Trivia Gods.
How many horseshoes does Danny have? AT LEAST 3 times, he came perilously close to being buzzed out during the charge, I think that slowed down the Lightning Round pace a little bit...
And finally, the final minute. The turning point was Patrick missing the Gibraltar question with :58 to go...That is the difference between a 250-point lead and a 450-point lead; and I don't know if Bishop's makes the comeback if they're down 450...but the fact that Bishop's was able to outscore Kennebecasis Valley 600-(-100) in the final minute makes them a more-than-deserving Tournament 1 champion.
