Episode 35: March 4, 2004 - Kipling 1170 Keo Burke 680

Where were the cannons? The rifles? The tanks?

Considering the fact that today was Military Day, we had a game that more resembled two teams lobbing hunks of cheese at each other than any sort of real weaponry...March forth and guess!

That being said, when the most intelligent person that I know (read: my father) messages me post-game and tells me that even he didn't know many answers until the Lightning Round (and that I should go easy on the players), you know the Obscure-O-Meter has been broken and now can not be re-started for another 49 hours...

There were some bright spots in the game, however. Jordan's performance in Smarterer was excellent - I guess we know what he is on the team for...

Additionally, some excellent play by Darren in the 100-point Lightning Round to ensure that a Newfoundland team finally comes out with a semi-respectable score...

And as my attempts to muzzle Adny have failed miserably tonight, I'd like to say that I have never seen a performance like I did tonight in spelling. At least Jessica and Nicholas were willing to guess, and I'm sure this game will be remembered again come Awards time. 1
